Role of ITSM and ITIL may change for businesses looking to outsource
Maintaining the integrity of a company's IT systems during the adoption of new cloud computing services or the handoff of part of a setup to an outsourced provider is crucially important, according to ITProPortal.
The tech news website reports that recent research has demonstrated the importance of this question, showing that four out of five businesses are planning to maintain or increase their level of outsourcing in the coming year.
"Keeping your house in order," ITProPortal says, is a crucial part of a large-scale IT services management shift. This means ensuring that operational procedures are as streamlined as possible and the entire IT department is running more or less harmoniously, in order to simplify any large-scale shift.
The continued popularity of IT outsourcing, experts agree, is no mystery: The hardware and skills needed are both highly specialized and very important. Given that, it makes a lot of sense from a business perspective to simply avoid the hassle and pay well-trained experts to handle a large number of IT tasks.
